Sunday, June 26: Welcome to Provence
Your adventure begins! From Marseille airport or train station, you will transfer by private van to your charming 4 star residence in a boutique hotel  near Arles . There will be time to freshen up / relax by the pool or at the spa/ or explore. You will be wlecomed by Anne at the meet and greet cocktails in the gardens at the hotel followed by dinner.

Monday, June 27: Lavender Galore
Early start today to Sénanque Abbaye to enjoy the lavender fields and have a 1-hour audio tour. A stop outside Gordes will be made for a photo op of the stunning town. Another stop will be made at the Lavender Museum in Coustellet for a guided tour. You will have free time for lunch and a stroll in the exceptional village of Roussillon. After lunch, a stop in another stunning village, Menerbe for a one-hour tour of the unique corkscrew museum. Dinner will be at the lovely Patio in Fontvieille.

Tuesday, June 28:Arles & Les Baux
During your morning tour of Arles, you will feel the spirit of Vincent Van Gogh that still lives throughout this town. He stayed here from February 1888 to May 1889 which is said to be his most prolific period. We will pass by the Vincent van Gogh Foundation, some may want to stop here. You will be able to discover some of France’s finest Roman treasures and Renaissance architecture, Les Arenes and the Theatre Antique. From there it’s an easy stroll to the Luma Foundation‘s Parc des Ateliers which showcases the ultra-modern architecture of internationally renowned architect, Frank Gehry. Then you will travel along a picturesque route to les Baux de Provence for lunch in the typical provencal Bistrot du Paradou followed by a visit to the Carrière des Lumières The cavernous quarry is transformed into a spectacular art gallery for you to experience the audio-visual masterpiece exhibit . Remember to bring  a jacket!The show theme will be announced Spring 2022. On your way back to Arles, a stop will be made to meet the Sourdon family who are producing exquisite olive oil at Moulin Saint Jean. Back in Fontvieille , you’ll have free time to enjoy the spa, relax at the pool or stroll the village  and have dinner at leisure.

Wednesday June 29: St Remy & Lavender workshop
Today is market day in nearby St. Remy de Provence, birthplace of Nostradamus. On the way, a stop will be made for you to visit the ruins of ancient roman city of Glanum . Traces of the earliest inhabitants date back to 2500 BC. You’ll then spend the rest of the morning in this charming town at one of the largest markets in the area. Linger at stalls filled with displays of truly Provençal products. For lunch there is a wide choice of restaurants, cafés and bistros and shady squares for relaxing. In the afternoon, you will take a short drive outside St. Remy to the Monastery of St. Paul de Mausole, formerly an asylum where Van Gogh committed himself for treatment after leaving Arles. Van Gogh spent a year at the sanitarium and painted some of his most noted works, including Starry Nights. On your way back to the hotel, a private workshop in a lavender field with Elsa will be held, providing you instruction on how to make your lavender wand. Dinner will be in the courtyard of the hotel.

Thursday June 30: La Cadière d’azur & transfer to Nice
Time to leave Provence and head to the Cote d’Azur with a stop at Chef René Bérard’s bastide farmhouse and vegetable garden for a traditional anchoiade and tapenade apéros workshop followed by lunch at the confidential Terresbrunes winery Bandol estate which uses organic farming practices to produce its refined wines. Check in to your 4 star boutique hotel Villa Victoria  in Nice. Time to unpack, relax or stroll the buzzy historical center before your your dinner at the beach by the Med.

Friday July 1 : St Paul de Vence & Grasse
Today you will head into the hills above the Riviera driving along a winding, picturesque road to the medieval village of Saint Paul de Vence. After lunch at the iconic Colombe d’Or restaurant, you will head to Grasse, for centuries the capital of French perfume making. You will visit the famous Parfumerie Fragonard’s working studio, family-run for four generations. A studio tour will acquaint you with how they create their signature perfumes. You’ll marvel at the choices and discover what suits you. Add a little zing to your attire tonight for celebratory cocktails and dinner at the legendary Negreco hotel’s bar and Rotonde restaurant.

Saturday July 2 : Nice, Eze & Villa Rotschild 
This morning you have a chance to sleep in or enjoy Nice on your own. Visit a gallery of your choice: Musée Chagall or Matisse or the Museum of Modern Art. Or perhaps you prefer browsing the elegant Galeries Lafayette or the quirky shops of the pedestrian Rue Massena. Or rent a lounge at the beach. The choice is yours. Before lunch, you’ll be taken for a drive along the breathtaking route to the hilltop village of Eze. After a walk through narrow cobblestone streets of the 11th century town, to the top of the Exotic Garden, you will discover one of the most dazzling panoramic views of the Côte d’Azur. On our way back to Nice, we will stop for a tour at Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild on St. Jean de Cap Ferrat. The exquisitely furnished villa and its themed gardens show us how the super-rich live on the French Riviera.
As all good things must come to an end, your farewell dinner will be at the Langouste’s cosy inner courtyard, a secret haven with exquisite cuisine.

Sunday July 3 : Au revoir!
Today is time to have your last café au lait and bid farewell to the French Riviera with lasting memories. Transfers to Nice airport will be arranged.


To secure a place on our tour, we ask that you fill in our reservation form, which indicates that your 30% deposit will be required on reservation. The balance will be due 2 months prior to the tour.

All meals indicated in the programme including wine, gratuities (tips for guides, drivers, restaurants) and taxes, professional tour facilitator/guide, activities and entrance fees as indicated in program, accommodation in a 4 star boutique hotel in Fontvieille ,  a 4 star boutique hotel in Nice , airport transfers, transportation in a van or coach.

Round trip airfare to France, any personal souvenirs or purchases, additional wine, beer or spirits beyond what is offered at meals, travel insurance (highly recommended) and trip medical coverage (required for travelers over 50 years of age), gratuities.

This is a package group tour and non-refundable with no refunds even in case of injury or illness or personal emergency. Cancellation must be notified by email to We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance including medical assistance and cancellation.  If you get sick from Covid or any other disease, before the trip departs or during it you will need to have your own medical and trip cancellation insurance to cover any costs incurred.

Arrival and Departure
You will be welcomed on arrival by Anne at the meet and greet cocktail followed by dinner on 26 July. Airport or train station transfers to your accommodation on day of arrival in Marseilles  and departure in Nice are included.

What to Pack
Phone chargers, medication, hat,  sunscreen, bug repellent and comfortable walking shoes and swimsuit.

Physical Requirements
Our tour is “physically active”. You may be on your feet, walking and standing, for over an hour, indoors and outdoors, rain or shine. That means if you need help climbing in a tour bus or if you are winded after walking 50 feet, Nancy has other tours for you .

Temperatures should be pleasant. We expect clear sunny skies with average daytime temperatures of 28°C (85°F) and an average low of 20°C (67°F).

You will be travelling in a omfortable air-conditioned vehicle with a professional driver.
